Shannonside packages to suit any business

It sometimes happens that several plots of land are for sale at the same time in the same place. Clonlara in Clare is experiencing something of a farm sale rush.
Along with the remains of Doonass House and its estate in Clonlara, GVM is handling the sale of two additional lots totaling approximately 114ac.
These are to be sold in two lots: an 87ac residential farm is estimated at €700,000 while a 28ac non-residential farm is estimated at €250,000.
87ac Farm is located in Drummeen, Clonlara, a bungalow residence farm. The location is described by GVM’s Tom Crosse as a great summer farm that would suit any grass-based farming venture.
Laid out in a series of large fields separated by traditional hedges, it is a compact unit accessed via an avenue. Although not frontaged, much of the property faces the Shannon.
Included in the sale is a three bedroom bungalow with a hall, living room, living room, kitchen, family bathroom, utility room and guest toilet.
There are four spacious bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite bathroom. The property is in very good condition with features such as PVC windows and is set in a landscaped garden area.

There is also a single storey unoccupied stone farmhouse on the site which could be restored to a habitable condition.
The external offices consist of a large A-roof shed which is a bit worn but could use it.
A short distance away in Belisle, Clonlara, a 27ac roadside non-residential plot of land is for sale by the same owner. With its own frontage, it is well laid out and easily accessible from Clonlara village.

The property is situated adjacent to the old golf course at Landmark House and although it has no buildings it has good street frontage and would be an ideal addition to a running business.
Castleconnell
GVM moves downriver to Limerick and is handling the sale of a 55ac interest with extensive frontage on the old Dublin Road in Park, Castleconnell. The private sale is estimated at €700,000.
Mr. Crosse describes it as an estate of good quality farmland, laid out in easily managed sections, well irrigated and fenced.

A small section bordering the Nenagh railway line is slightly heavier than the rest. It has a small courtyard with a number of dated buildings including a barn, shelter and outbuildings and is supplied with water and electricity.
“The land is ideal for all types of farming, including cattle, equine, dairy or hobby farming,” Mr Crosse said. “There is also possible site potential, subject to planning permission, and I expect some level of business in that.”
Final bids will be invited by Tuesday, December 6, 12:00 p.m.
