Terrifying footage of a third British soldier captured by pro-Putin forces was broadcast on Russian state television today.

Andrew Hill, 35, from Plymouth, could be seen in footage showing the moment he was held by Russian troops in April.

He has since been jailed and is reportedly “facing the death penalty.”

Russian propaganda outlets previously presented fellow inmates Brits Aiden Aslin, 28, and fellow inmate Shaun Pinner, 48, both of whom were sentenced to death.

The clip also showed the Brit speaking to his grandmother in the UK, saying: “I’m being held here as a suspected mercenary.

“The penalty here is death.”

Andrew was arrested while fighting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He previously served in the British Army’s Lancaster Regiment.

He was arrested in the Russian-occupied Mykolaiv region, sources said.

It now appears that he is being parroted on Russian TV for propaganda purposes.

In a video that appears to have come from a hospital, he says: “I want to go home, to my homeland, to my family, to my children. I just want to go home. I will tell you the truth.

“I’ll tell you how it really is here. I will tell you about the DPR and how it was formed. And I’ll tell you what’s going on here.”

Gazprom-owned NTV carried the report with the headline: “Exclusive – before the execution”.

The report also uses the words: “mercenaries sentenced to death”.

It claims to highlight Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s “international boys,” who tell viewers they are seeing “confessions before the execution.”

A reporter says: “Mr Hill realizes that Boris Johnson doesn’t care about him, and Zelenskyy even less.”

Separately, in footage delayed by two months, Andrew is being held by Russians.

Andrew, apparently wounded, is told by Putin’s forces, “Don’t worry man, don’t worry man. we are russians

“Don’t be scared, okay? OK, say what?”

Andrew asks for water and gets some from the kidnappers.

It is unclear whether a verdict has already been passed.

In contrast, Aiden and Shaun are now appealing death sentences in the DPR.
