A venue at the SEAFRONT is scheduled to host an Oktoberfest later this year.
The event, which takes place over three weekends, starts on Thursday 29th September at the Shelter Hall, Brighton and runs until Saturday 15th October.
Event organizers said the experience will be “better than ever.”
“This fall we’re back and better than ever with our second Oktoberfest,” said a spokesman.
“Over three weekends we’ll transform Shelter Hall into a Bavarian beer hall, don our lederhosen and dirndls, invite our favorite Sussex brewers to serve mugs of their signature craft beers, and entertain each session with a lineup of DJs and a Bavarian oompah band.
“This year every single session will feature a live band performance.”
Seven independent kitchens serve new fall menus with German-inspired specials, including Schnitzel by Chick Chick Crew, German burgers by Patty Guy and Grillbratwurst by Sear.
People will be seated at communal tables on the ground floor of the venue while a DJ and live Bavarian oompah band complement the festivities with singalongs, lederhosen and dirndls.
The German Oktoberfest is finally back this autumn after a two-year break due to Covid-19.
The boss of the famous beer festival Clemens Baumgärtner said: “The Wiesn will take place.”
He used the Bavarian slang for Oktoberfest, which refers to the large meadow or meadow where the boozy celebrations take place.
The festival in the Bavarian capital will take place from September 17th to October 3rd, the German national holiday, without pandemic restrictions.
“It will take place as we know it from 2019 and no different,” added Baumgaertner.
