Two pints of lager and a pack of chips return to screens!

Sheridan Smith could soon be reunited with her two pints of lager and a pack of chips co-stars for a brand new series of the hit comedy show.

The 40-year-old actress rose to fame on the hit BBC show when it originally ran from 2001 to 2011 – with nine seasons and 80 episodes aired during that time.

In the series, Sheridan starred alongside Will Mellor, 46, and Ralf Little, 42, as a twenty-something navigating their chaotic love and work lives.

And although the show hasn’t aired in over a decade, Sheridan is said to be working to reunite the cast for more episodes.

New episodes of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Chips could be coming

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Over the past few weeks she has reached out to Will and Ralf who are currently at the Two Pints Live! toured together and started following them both on social media.”

It’s not the first time a reunion season of the show has been teased, as Sheridan previously indicated that she would like to reprise her role as Janet Keogh.

She previously told Metro: “I mean that would be brilliant Gavin and Stacey did their special which I thought was brilliant we could end up getting the Two Pints gang back together I certainly wouldn’t rule that out one day if all schedules worked out.”

Sheridan Smith is said to be planning to revive the show

She went on to say that she was still close to her castmates, saying, “We all became very close – we were at it for nine years so it was a big part of my life.
“Definitely don’t rule out there will be a reunion one day, although it would be odd because we’re all so much older.

“It would be pretty funny to see where Janet ended up. She’d probably have about 20 kids or so still in the pub!”

Earlier this year, Will claimed that he and Ralf had written proposed scripts for a sequel series they plan to call Two Pints: Last Orders.

He told the Daily Star: “The fans are going crazy over it so we have the audience. It’s called Two Pints: Last Orders. It’s revised, it’s really funny.

“It’s been updated but Gaz and Johnny are still very old fashioned and sitting in the pub talking about cake and beer.”

However, he admitted: “The BBC said no, they don’t want to revisit Two Pints.”

Will Mellor and Ralf Little recently went on a Two Pints themed tour

But he went on to claim, “Now we’re going to look for someone else, whether it’s another channel, whether it’s Britbox or Netflix, because there’s a huge audience for that.”

Will and Ralf’s Two Pints tour concluded this month – although the pair may now have the freedom to re-present the show alongside Sheridan.
