Shikanoin Heizou has been revealed as the next Genshin Impact character

After what felt like an eternity since the last taste of Genshin Impact’s future, we got our first look at a new character coming into play via the game’s official Twitter account. The character in question: Shikanoin Heizou.

Another Inazuma character joining the cast is an Anemo character who works as a detective for the Tenryou Commission. We haven’t heard anything about her in-game until now, which makes her a totally original addition to the cast.

That alone is exciting news – everyone loves a new character! However, this newfound revelation should also inspire hope that Genshin Impact’s next update is just around the corner. We’ll have to keep an eye on the official channels to find out when the reveal livestream is coming in the coming days.

While we haven’t given much information on Shikanoin Heizou’s gameplay (as is typical of this type of tease), there have been a few leaks signaling what they can do. So if you’d rather stay spoiler-free, feel free to skip the next paragraph. Since these are leaks, you should treat them with caution.

According to a reputable leaker Lumie on Twitter, Shikanoin Heizou will be the first male Catalyst user in the cast. This is in contrast to the cool looking jitte (forked sword) we see at his side, but that could well be a decoration for the character. Finally, characters like Fae Miko have a fan base for their model and animations, but they are also catalyst users.

All in all, right now is an exciting time to be a Genshin fan. For more Genshin Impact content, check out our articles on everything we know about Genshin Impact v2.7, as well as our original v2.7 delay report. Shikanoin Heizou has been revealed as the next Genshin Impact character
