Shin Megami Tensei V sells over 1 million copies worldwide

Atlus’ (for now) Switch-exclusive Shin Megami Tensei V has surpassed 1 million sales worldwide in less than six months, Atlus announced today.
As the latest entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series, fans had to wait over four years to get their hands on the game, which was already being teased before the Switch even came out. To celebrate this achievement, Atlus has shared some brand new artwork by Nahobino character designer Masayuki Doi, which you control for most of the game. Then we have more chances to swoon over this beautiful hair.
Back in January, Shin Megami Tensei V had become the best-selling game in the series in just two months, with the next best-selling game – Shin Megami Tensei IV on the 3DS – selling over 600,000 units. If you don’t count the spin-off series personaOf course.
Still, this is pretty fantastic news for Atlus as it marks a fantastic return for the Shin Megami Tensei series. We think these high numbers are well deserved, as we called Shin Megami Tensei V “the best entry in the series so far” in our review.
