Pub-goers have expressed shock and sadness after a city-centre bar announced it was closing.
The Shore Bar in Dane Road, Seaford, will close its doors for the last time tonight following a decision by the owners, the RedCat Pub Company.
In a statement, the bar said: “We are heartbroken and would like to thank everyone who has supported and joined us here at The Shore.
“We really appreciate every customer who has walked into our pub.
“Thank you to our amazing bar staff who worked so hard behind the bar. The teamwork was great.
“The staff would also like to say a big thank you to Aysha, the manager, for the support you have given us, the help, the guidance and the amazing times we have had.
“We are one big family and we love you.”
Those who attended the bar expressed their sadness at the news.
Tanya Beck said she has many memories from the bar and said she is “so sorry to hear this news,” and Karen Mayo wished all the staff the best of luck in the future.
The bar is open at 2am on their last weekend until tonight.
The RedCat Pub Company has been contacted for comment.
