SHOCKING photos show a £200,000 Bentley wrecked after crashing into the side of a pub.
The Kings Arms Pub in Bexleyheath, south east London suffered some structural damage to the front of the building but the Bentley was hit the hardest.
The hood of the car was smashed in, causing the license plate and headlights to hang down.
Despite the damage, the pub has remained open for locals to enjoy their evenings.
The London Fire Brigade confirmed in a statement that at 2.41am on Sunday two fire engines and a fire rescue unit were called to the incident and crews were working to make the scene safe.
One person was taken to the hospital.
The pub’s owners have confirmed they are circumventing the damage.
A Facebook post from the pub said: “We have to say how superbly the London Fire Brigade have handled the matter and even made the great Pete fulfill his dream of sitting on the back of a fire engine.
“So has Bexley Borough of London Council, who quickly rushed to the matter with a team to inspect the building and consider how best to make the corner safe for the future.
“Everyone is safe, although some work needs to be done.”
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 2.39am on Sunday 29 January to receive reports of a road traffic accident on Broadway in Bexleyheath.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service were present and found a car that collided with a pub.
“The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
“No arrests were made.”
The crash marked the second time in two years that the Kings Arm pub was hit by a vehicle.
On Christmas morning 2021, the pub’s wall was breached when a Mercedes crashed into the same piece, although owners say the damage caused is more serious this time.
A driver crashed his £250,000 Lamborghini while reportedly speeding at 130mph in a high-speed police chase in Australia last year.
