A TEEN gunman shot dead a female student and wounded three others after opening fire at a university.
The 18-year-old, a biology student, burst into the lecture hall at the University of Heidelberg in Germany before running away and turning his gun on himself.
According to police, the lone shooter – a student at the school – had sent a Whatsapp message to “one person” immediately before.
Siegfried Kollmar, chairman of Mannheim police headquarters, said “everyone must be punished now”, writing “that everyone must be punished”, said at a news conference in Mannheim.
In the message, he also wishes to be buried at sea.
Mannheim police said the horror took place shortly before noon local time when the teenager – carrying what they described as “two long guns” – stormed the amphitheater and, after opening fire, fled outside the courthouse. university and suicide.
