Silver Stream Healthcare Group, one of Ireland’s largest providers of residential care for the elderly, will open three new care homes – creating over 500 permanent full-time jobs.
The expansion will double the current number of beds to 750 and increase the number of houses within the group to 11.
The newly developed homes are located in Riverstick, Co Cork; Duleek, Co Meath; and Dundalk, Co. Louth. The group is currently seeking positions in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Facilities and Care Assistants and Activities Coordinators.
Dundalk Care Home in Greenpark is close to the Dundalk Institute of Technology campus and has 130 ensuite single rooms spread over 6,000m² over two floors. The Duleek House has 120 single rooms with private bathrooms in an area of almost 5,500 m². and the Riverstick Nursing Home in Cork comprises 92 single and two en-suite double rooms in almost 4,500m².
Each home offers a range of care options, from long-term care to respite care, transition care, dementia care, convalescent care and end-of-life care.
The three new properties join eight existing locations in Counties Cork, Dublin, Wicklow, Meath and Tipperary.
“Our model is about providing residents with a home away from home,” said Tom Finn, Chief Executive Officer of Silver Stream Healthcare.
“These three new homes fit perfectly with our ambitions to provide a more intimate care home experience in a comfortable and familiar environment, while always being responsive to the rapidly changing care needs of the elderly.”
Dutch private equity firm Waterland bought Silver Stream in July 2019 and Finn made the announcement Sunday independent last year that the company wanted to expand to 1,000 beds in Ireland.
