Simon Cowell remembers ‘charming’ Darius Campbell Danesh after his death

Simon Cowell remembered former Pop Idol contestant and stage star Darius Campbell Danesh as “charming, funny and a great person to be with” following the singer’s death at the age of 41.

Ampbell Danesh was found dead in his apartment in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11, his family announced.

In a statement sent to PA news agency, former Pop Idol judge Cowell, 62, said: “I first saw Darius on television more than 20 years ago and I got to know him very well. that.

“His passing, for someone so young, is an absolute tragedy and my heart goes out to his family and friends.”

Following his death, Campbell Danesh’s family released a statement, which read: “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh. Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11, and was pronounced dead by the local medical examiner’s office that afternoon.

“The local police department has confirmed that there are no signs of suspicious intent or circumstances. The cause of his sudden death remains unknown at this stage while medical examinations continue.

“We ask that you please respect our wishes for privacy at this time while we accept the tragic loss of our son and brother.”

The cause of death is still unknown.
