Simon Fanshawe returns to the Edinburgh Fringe

Award-winning comedian Simon Fanshawe returns to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival stage for the first time in decades for a new live show.

The Kemp Town-based comedian, who first won Best Comedy Show in the Fringe in 1989, will look back on his career and childhood in a broad-based biographical performance, using his personal stories to explore why it’s important to have things in common with people find things you don’t agree with.

Simon said: “The show is about figuring out how to get along. It’s something I’ve been obsessed with since I was little.

“I’m pretty crazy about free speech, but in the end I think it’s just as if not more important that people share and work out how to live together, and that doesn’t always mean that they agree .

“Total agreement doesn’t have to be the goal in life – recognizing the power of difference is where the magic happens.”

The Power of Difference runs from August 19th to 23rd at the festival, tickets are available online. Simon Fanshawe returns to the Edinburgh Fringe
