Simon Thomas took to social media to congratulate his wife on becoming a lawyer after a previous colleague told her she would never make it.
The former Sky Sports presenter married Derrina Jebb in July 2021 after losing his first wife Gemma Thomas to acute myeloid leukemia in 2017, at the age of 40.
The 49-year-old posted on his Instagram page how proud he is of the hard work Derrina put in to achieve her goals and how she chooses not to listen to the words of one family member. critique “may have let her down.”

Simon, who is also the father of 10-year-old son Ethan, added that he has “great respect” for Derrina.
“She said that words can break us or fuel a rocket to become the person we’ve always known we could be,” he added.
Last month Simon also revealed the guilt Derrina sometimes feels after Gemma’s death, especially on each anniversary of her death.
