HEARTBROKEN Sinead O’Connor has labeled Ireland a “third world country” but apologized to the Tulsa Children and Families Authority for previously lashing out at them following her son’s death.
Shane was found dead earlier this week under tragic circumstances and the famous singer revealed he will be cremated later this week according to a traditional Hindu ceremony.
The Nothing Compares 2 U musician explained, “I’m going to do the right thing here and apologize for lashing out at me.
“Tusla is working with very limited resources. They love Shane. They are heartbroken.
“They are human. I’m sorry to upset them. We are a third world country.
“It’s not their fault. The problem is we have 12 intensive care beds for teenagers who commit suicide. And we don’t have the resources to save those who can’t get through life.
“128 ICU beds nationwide. Tusla did her best. We all did and I’m terribly sorry for blaming anyone.”
Talking about holding a funeral for her 17-year-old son, Ms. Sinead revealed: “Shane is Hindu. So the funeral will be only his mother and father.

“This is also Shane’s wish. If you are going to send anything to the morgue at Loughlinstown Hospital, please send flowers or Hindu objects.
“Also, flowers or Hindu objects may be sent to the Newlands Cross crematorium. I believe the ceremony takes place on Thursday.”
Earlier today, she made a plea for other troubled young peopleShe didn’t want to take their lives like her tragic son Shane.
She said: “A message to teenagers pondering the stupid choice my son feels forced to choose, I’ve seen many people die in my life.
“My son is the only one who doesn’t look to peace. Suicide won’t bring you peace. It’s a lie.”
She added: “So the next poor person means the person who tells me about my son ‘at least now he’s safe’ will make them turn off the lights.
“How does anyone know he’s at peace? I can tell you his face has been tormented like it’s been months. No difference.”
Sinead tweeted about her tragic son since first going missing last week and said the boy had been taken to mental health professionals a month ago “after disappearing leaving letters suicide including detailed funeral plans”.
On Saturday, Sinead confirmed that Shane – the son she shares with folk singer Donal Lunny – took his own life.
She wrote: “My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the light of my life, decided to put an end to his mortal struggle today and is now doing it. stay with God.
“May he rest in peace and no one will follow his example. My child. I love you very much. Please rest in peace.”
