Rachel is currently faced with finding a new job so she can pay the bills and provide for her children, but fears what could happen if she doesn’t find work quickly.
She said: “I started applying for jobs as soon as I heard the news, I have already submitted all my applications even though it’s only been two days, I need to find a job as soon as possible.”
“How could they drop that bomb on us and leave us with nothing?” Rachel continued.
“I’m a single mom with 3 kids and I get asked by people to contact me but what happens when you contact and don’t get any help? What do I do?”
A job ad is posted for Morlo Nursery Facebook earlier this month showed the company advertised to more employees before closing.
Rachel claimed the company’s bosses were “in denial” and did not “face” the reality of the situation, until it was too late.
“The management was just terrible, it was horrible and as a result now all of our livelihoods have been taken away,” she said.
“During the emergency meeting we asked them why they were taking in more children and trying to hire more staff and they couldn’t give us an answer.
“I just felt cheated, because they knew this was coming and they didn’t warn us.
“They even gave us a job last month, knowing they wouldn’t pay us. It was disgusting.”
