Sir Elton John shares LA snap before last three days of US tour

Sir Elton John shared a flashback photo of himself from a show in Los Angeles in 1975 before his final North American performances.

His musical superstar will be performing at the Dodgers baseball stadium for the final three dates this week, telling audiences on Thursday to “don’t be late.”

This will be his first return to the venue in nearly five decades, the last time he performed there in 1975.

The photo shows Sir Elton wearing a Dodgers outfit encrusted with gems on his piano, in front of a packed stadium.

The singer has performed at numerous venues across the United States and Canada as part of her Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

“Starting my last North American tour and returning to Dodger Stadium for the first time since 1975. See you at 8 p.m., LA – don’t be late!” he wrote on Instagram.

Sir Elton has previously said that Los Angeles was “the setting for some of the most important moments in my life”.

“That’s where Bernie and I got inspired when we made our music, that’s where I first performed in America and where I chose to perform my last North American tour, ” he said as if he was announcing the trip for the first time.

The final show at Dodgers Stadium on November 20th will be streamed live on Disney+ and will feature special guests.

Following shows in LA, Sir Elton will visit Australia and New Zealand, before embarking on European tour dates.
