Sir Rod Stewart lost his second brother within two months

Sir Rod Stewart announced the death of his brother Bob, two months after the death of his other brother, Don.

The 77-year-old singer paid tribute on Instagram, sharing an image of a candle and the message “Rest in Peace”.

He wrote: “I am deeply saddened to announce the passing of my brother Bob last night, who was with my brother Don on the wonderful football field in the sky.

“I lost two of my best friends within two months. RIP Don and Bob ‘irreplaceable friends’.

His post created a wave of messages from fans who sent their condolences.

It comes after Sir Rod announced Don’s death in September, just 48 hours before the Queen’s.

He wrote: “The past 48 hours have been brutal. We lost my brother Don on Tuesday at the age of 94 and today we all lost Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96.”

Sir Rod, the youngest of five children, also has two older sisters – Peggy and Mary.

The veteran rocker recently revealed he has supported a family of seven Ukrainian refugees by renting them out and paying their bills.

Sir Rod broke with the usual stance of not discussing his charity work, saying he wanted to inspire others to help people from the war-torn country. Sir Rod Stewart lost his second brother within two months
