Six members of the Special Olympics Haiti delegation have mysteriously disappeared while attending this year’s Florida Games.

Police and other local authorities, including Walt Disney World, which is hosting the 2022 Special Olympics USA games, are scrambling to locate them, with the public being asked to contact police if any of the six are spotted.

The missing are all males, between the ages of 18 and 32, who were in the country for a “football match,” according to a local sheriff’s office bulletin.

Only one of the six is ​​believed to have an intellectual disability and the other five are not Special Olympics athletes.

On June 6, they all turned in their room keys and mysteriously disappeared, leaving their personal belongings and bags behind.

Police are looking for Antione Mithon, Nicholson Fontilus, Peter Berlus, Anderson Petit-Frere, Steevenson Jacquet and Oriol Jean.

In a statement from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, a spokesman said, “The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a missing person case involving members of the Haitian delegation attending the 2022 Special Olympics USA games.

“We are in communication with Walt Disney World, Special Olympics and our law enforcement and federal partners.

“At this stage we believe this is an isolated event and do not suspect foul play. We are asking anyone with information to please contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.”







Anderson Petit-Frère, 18, recently posted on the team’s Instagram account: “It is a great pleasure and honor to be part of this team. I will do my best to help the athletes at the USA Games Orlando 2022.”

The Special Olympics began Sunday, June 5th and will run through June 12th in and around Orlando.

Around 5,500 athletes and coaches from the USA and the Caribbean are represented at the games.

Petit-Frère was one of the missing delegates and was reportedly featured on Team Haiti’s Instagram last week NewYorkPost.

“My name is Anderson Petit-Frère, I’m from Port-au-Prince and I’m 18 years old,” wrote the young athlete. .

“I am a unified player and part of the Special Olympics Haiti unified soccer team. It is a great pleasure and honor to be part of this team. I will do my best to help the athletes at the USA Games Orlando 2022.”
