Former Everton captain Alan Stubbs has slammed Sky Sports for his comment Liverpool The Toffees win the Merseyside derby on Sunday.

Ex-Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher commentated on the game alongside Martin Tyler. Former Reds midfielder and manager Graeme Souness was also at the studio as a pundit, along with the former everton Forward Kevin Campbell, who also played for arsenal in his career.

During Liverpool’s 2-0 win, Carragher said Everton striker Richarlison was playing as he held his ankle at half-time, resulting in Abdoulay Doucoure being booked for trying to stop the game when he fouled Fabinho.

“Honestly, get up. Get up, go on,” Carragher said as Richarlison went down injured. “When Doucoure gets a yellow card because his teammate goes down. Stupid of Doucoure trying to stop the game but Richarlison there’s nothing wrong with him.

This incident led to Stubbs, who played for the Toffees between 2001-2005 and 2006-2008, to tweet his frustration at Carragher’s comment on the game.

“I think @Everton needs to turn that comment off because it’s so biased!!” former Everton captain Stubbs tweeted. “Richarlison is clearly going over his ankle and being accused of cheating!! Liverpool class, my a***.”
