LAURENT KOSCIELNY has expressed his disappointment after being dropped from the first team in Bordeaux.
The 36-year-old former Arsenal captain has only made 11 appearances this season due to injury problems and continues to be left out of the squad.
According to L’Equipe, Koscielny was extremely unhappy with the rejection and said: “I did it badly.
“It was a real slap in the face.”
The news came just days after it was reported that The French player was stripped of the captain’s armband.
And now things have taken a turn for the worse for the defender as the French side reveal they will sell him this month.
In a recent interview, Bordeaux president Gerard Lopez said: “We did not attack players or people, but decided that Laurent would not end the season with us and that he would leave the club in January.
“I think he can still play so if we can keep him going he will leave as a player.

“He has this right to convert into something else (as a coach – at the club), maybe a little later.
“There are several possibilities, all on the table.”
Koscielny’s salary is said to be the highest on the books of the French team, this is one of the main reasons why he was sold, along with poor form.
Bordeaux has struggled this season and is currently in the relegation battle.
They have the worst defensive record in Ligue 1 with 44 goals conceded.
Koscielny caused outrage by leaving Arsenal in 2019 after he did AWOL for their pre-season tour in the US.
He was forced to pass transfer £4.6m to Bordeaux after nine years of serving the Gunners.
And then even more angered Arsenal fans with a video showing him tearing off the Arsenal shirt and throwing it away to reveal the Bordeaux kit.
