There are big scenes ahead on EastEnders Street, Emmerdale and Coronation in April 2022, from exits and deaths, to secrets and lies brought to light.

Two decades ago there was an explosion of paternity in Corrie – like a case airing on the same ITV show now.
In Emmerdale a heartbreaking separation has taken place for two dear villagers, one of whom is still in the village 20 years later, while another will be remembered next week.
For EastEnders, there was a massive exit in the store following the fireball’s death, while Little Mo was facing her abusive husband Trevor Morgan in court, following their dramatic confrontation several previous month.
Here’s a look back at all three soaps and their biggest storylines as of April 2002…
In Walford, Tamzin Outhwaite’s character Mel Owen has to deal with a shock after the tragic death of her husband, Steve Owen, in a car explosion last month.
Mel was baffled when she realized she was pregnant, and at first she intended to have an abortion – worried the baby would be as bad as Steve.
She ends up facing prison after business deals she signs for Steve, without realizing what they are, link her to his drug crimes.
Phil finds out she’s pregnant and bails her out for £30,000 – only for Mel to find out Lisa shot Phil and not Steve as she had believed.
Feeling betrayed, the pregnant character ran away from Walford and never returned the money to Phil – while she would later return to her son Hunter, before they died in shock in 2005. 2019.
Elsewhere, Sharon Watts made her return after the death and funeral of her adoptive mother Angie Watts.
One of the biggest moments of this month in 2022, it was Little Mo facing trial for her deadly assault on her abusive husband Trevor.
Fans may recall that after years of violent abuse, Mo received enough and hit him in the head with an iron, before letting him die.
In the aftermath, Mo was arrested and in April 2022 she faces her guilty plea hearing – before standing before a jury.
In a shocking twist, even though Mo revealed he abused her, the jury found her guilty of attempted murder.
In Dales, there is a devastating split for a long-serving couple.
Bernice Blackstock announced her marriage to Ashley Thomas was over, shortly after their daughter Gabby was born.
Ashley and Bernice actually reconciled not long after, after initially breaking up due to her love affair with Carlos, Nicola’s older sister’s boyfriend.
There were even questions about Gabby’s paternity, but Ashley was later revealed to be her father.
So in 2002, Ashley was still struggling to move on from her betrayal, and trusting Bernice – especially when he found out she was flirting with strangers on a night out.
Bernice decides that she can’t be with him because he doesn’t trust her, and she doubts her, leading to her ending their marriage.
After 20 years have passed, Gabby is now a mother and is planning to christen her baby son Thomas, while Bernice is also in the village.
Sadly, Ashley passed away in 2017 after being diagnosed with early-onset dementia two years earlier.
