It’s an amazing change to Lily Allen since crashing at Glastonbury in 2015.
This year, she performed on a very sober Saturday and says the performance revived her passion for music to the point where she is contemplating retirement.
Lily said she was “quite amazing” to perform with Olivia Rodrigo, who brought her in to sing F*** You in front of Supreme Court justices who overturned the historic Roe vs Wade ban. abortion in the US after nearly 50 years.
The 37-year-old said: ‘I don’t know if I’ll be able to stand on stage so sane again or to be honest, a part of me thinks it’s all in the past.
“Who knows, maybe I haven’t hung up my microphone yet.”
She first gave up music in 2009 to turn her attention to acting, but returned with a new album.
Earlier this year, she starred on the West End stage in the 2:22 play A Ghost Story, to critical acclaim.
In 2015, paramedics wrapped her in a foil blanket and gave her oxygen at the festival.
She has been quite sober since 2019 and married Stranger Things actor David Harbor in 2020.
Lily’s performance was removed from BBC iPlayer coverage due to obscene lyrics. “The decision to edit this part of the performance was made solely because of the powerful language used throughout,” Beeb said.
