Roberto De Zerbi has revealed why he thinks Solly March is underrated by the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
The Albion boss said his winger was a hidden gem.
And when questioned further by The Argus on the Hailsham flyer, he said he was good enough for the Champions League.
March shone in the 4-1 win over Chelsea – and impressed at the start of the season.
Head coach De Zerbi said: “I think Solly March can always play better and better because people in football don’t really know Solly March 100%, about his quality and potential abilities.”
When asked why he felt March was being underestimated, he said: “I wasn’t talking about the journalists.
“March’s qualities and levels are very important.
“I don’t know if clubs playing in Europe have asked about his performances during his career, but he has 100% quality to play Tuesday and Wednesday – and Tuesday and Wednesday you play…”
The Argus: “Champions League! And what do you like most?”
De Zerbi: “He’s complete. He has technical quality, physical quality.
“He’s a good guy, he’s a smart guy who understands straight away.
“But not only him. Dunk the same. Has he ever been called up by the national team?
“Mac Allister, Caicedo? Everyone understands that Mac Allister and Caicedo are two big players and I want people to understand that March is a big player too.”
