Soul Hackers 2, a new Megami Tensei game, releasing this summer

Soul Hackers 2, the sequel to 1997 Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers and a new game in the Megami Tensei series, coming out on August 26 of this year.
Soul Hackers 2 will launch on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, and PC just a day after its release in Japan. Developer Atlus says the new JRPG will combine aspects of the first Megami Tensei and Soul Hackers series on its 25th anniversary.
SEGA Europe said in the story synopsis: “During the battle between demonic summoners, Ringo and her team must decipher their destiny and save the world from the apocalypse!”
It takes place at the end of the 21st century as players, of course, fight to prevent the apocalypse.
The gameplay shown is what Megami Tensei fans have come to expect as players lead a group of characters through dungeons, battling monsters in turn-based combat. For those unfamiliar, similar combat is introduced in Persona seriesanother Megami Tensei spin-off series.
Soul Hackers 2 is directed by Eiji Ishida, who most recently led Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FEwhich IGN said were “excellent” and “good”, respectively.
