Southern Rail cancels trains after point failure at Arundel

The train line between Arundel and Barnham was closed due to a points failure.

Trains running between the stations will be canceled or diverted.

A Southern Rail spokesman said: “Southern trains are unable to operate between Arundel and Barnham until further notice. Where possible these services will operate between Arundel and London.

“There will be no direct services between Portsmouth/Southampton and London.”

The following routes are affected:

  • Bognor Regis and London Victoria
  • Southampton Central and Horsham / London Victoria
  • London Victoria and Portsmouth Harbour
  • Replacement buses operate between Barnham and Arundel.
