Southern Rail warns of busy services ahead of Women’s Championship game at Amex

A RAIL operator has warned of “busier than usual” services following a Women’s Euros football match.

The Amex Stadium is hosting its second game of the Women’s Championship on Friday 15th July and train services are expected to be busy by the time fans head to Falmer.

The game between Austria and Norway will take place at 8 p.m.

A Southern spokesman said: “Links from Brighton/Lewes via Falmer will be stronger than usual as queuing systems are in place.

“We will be operating shuttle trains between Brighton and Lewes, only stopping at Falmer from 6pm until the end of services.

“There will also be additional carriages on our Brighton to Seaford trains.”

The train operator is urging people to plan their trips in advance and book tickets through the website.
