Southwick man to appear in court after A259 collision at Portslade

A FISCHER charged in connection with the death of a motorcyclist after a collision in March is due to appear in court.

Southwick’s James Merrix is ​​accused of causing the death by driving without due care or consideration while above the set limit for a controlled drug (namely cannabis).

Daniel Kinsella, 25, from Brighton, died in hospital two days after the collision on the A259 in Portslade on March 16.

An inquest into Daniel’s death opened last week but was adjourned until March 2023 while Sussex Police’s investigations conclude.

The 35-year-old is due to appear in Brighton Magistrates’ Court on October 6 to face the charges.
