If caught, you could be fined hundreds of euros by local authorities.
It’s not the only law you could break while on holiday in Spain.

Several Spanish tourist hotspots, including Barcelona and the Canary Islands, have banned smoking on the beach, with fines of up to £1,700.
If you wear your swimwear off the beach you could also pay in Spain.
In Barcelona, people are only allowed to wear bikinis on the beach, and holidaymakers caught wearing a bikini in the city center could face a fine of up to £260.
Likewise, bikinis are restricted to Mallorca’s beaches, with fines of up to £500 for those found flouting the rules.
And anyone caught balconing in the Balearic Islands – that’s what people are called jumping from their hotel balcony into a swimming pool below – can face fines of between £620 and £1,250.
