Splatoon 3 is available for pre-order

Good news, squid kids: Splatoon 3 will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch sometime this summer. Splatoon 3, the latest in Nintendo’s line of colorful online shooters, promises all sorts of gooey mayhem across a handful of modes. It’s available to pre-order now from a number of retailers in both physical and digital formats (see at amazon).

Splatoon amiibo

Nintendo has released a number of amiibo for Splatoon, but most of them have either sold out or are being sold at incredibly high prices by third-party retailers. However, the Splatoon 3-Pack is available at GameStop for the standard MSRP and at other retailers for a small premium. Nintendo hasn’t specifically discussed amiibo integration for Splatoon 3, so we can’t be 100% sure they’ll work with the game.

What is Splatoon 3?
Splatoon 3 brings players to the Splatlands, a cartoonish wasteland where battles of all kinds are painted. First there’s a story mode pitting Agent 3 against the Octarian army and something about the “return of the mammals”.
Turf War is back with its four-on-four combat, this time offering players a new set of moves based on dodge and maneuverability, as well as a bow-like weapon that lets you hurl ink at your enemies and the surrounding area. The co-op mode Salmon Run also returns “with fresh new features”.
