Splatoon 3 teams up with Pokémon for the upcoming Splatfest

SPLATOON 3 has announced the theme for the next Splatfest, which will be a collaboration with Pokémon.

To celebrate the upcoming release of the ninth generation of Pokémon on November 18th, Splatoon is teaming up for a crossover event.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will introduce a number of new features to the game, including the “Let’s Go” command, which will allow your Pokémon to fight without your input on the field.

However, some things remain the same, such as the types for the three starter Pokémon.

Gen 9 will bring a new trio of grass, water, and fire starters.

Sprigatito is your go-to if you’re into the grassy starter, with a design that’s part cat, part cactus.

Quaxly is the next generation water starter, a little Matador style duckling.

Fire-type lovers will have Fuecoco as their starter Pokemon, a crocodile shaped like a chili pepper.

Whichever starter Pokemon you prefer is the theme of the upcoming Splatfest, although it’s not particularly based on those three mons.

The type of starter you usually choose should be the team you’re joining this time, although realistically you can pick any you like.

Splatfest starts on November 11th and ends on November 13th, just before the new Pokémon games are released.

However, starting today, you can choose which team you want to join for the upcoming Splatfest.

Splatoon fans have been disappointed with the latest Splatfest news.

Many had hoped that a spooky event would take place in the game around Halloween.

This isn’t the first time Splatoon has teamed up with Pokémon.

During the lifespan of the original Splatoon, choosing between Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue was the theme of a Splatfest.

There were also Splatfests themed around Spongebob Squarepants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Super Mario.
