Golf Story, the predecessor of Sports Story’s SideBar Games, was released on September 28, 2017 for Switch. In our review, we called it “a breath of fresh air for the sport and another entertaining story that RPG fanatics should follow,” and gave it a 9 out of 10. Sports Story was originally announced by SideBar Games in December 2019, with long silences from the development team. Then, during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase last month, the developers finally announced that the game would be releasing sometime in December 2022.

Sports Story is now available for Switch.
