The new Spotify pie chart extension will be familiar to anyone who loves seeing the Wrapped feature at the end of each year.
Just like this breakdown of your listening habits, this new addition to the app will present your personal music trends in an easy-to-understand chart.
We all get so used to listening to our favorite artists and tracks that we forget what else is out there.
If you’re more curious than anything about what you draw on, or just interested in seeing the genres you enjoy, create your own pie chart now.
What is Spotify Pie Chart?
The app extension known as Spotify Pie allows users to create their own monthly pie.
It has quickly become a popular feature with many users sharing their results on social media.
Essentially, it just breaks down all your listening habits and lists the genres you listen to the most.
It also lists the top artists and musicians you like.
It’s essentially the same as Spotify’s own Wrapped feature, which rolls out at the end of each year.
The main difference is that the pie chart condenses all the information you need into one easy to digest pie chart.
The chart itself is displayed at the top of the page, with each section listed in a different color.
Below that is a breakdown of all your top genres, going into detail – you might even discover some new ones here.
Finally, your top artists are listed in the top 10 by the most listened to.
How to make your own Spotify pie chart
Creating your own pie chart is easy, but don’t load Spotify with it.
The app was created by Darren Huang, a University of California student who developed the software behind it.
Just log into your account using the link and the chart will be created for you automatically.
