Spotify Wrapped prediction reveals “most likely release date” for 2022 launch

Thankfully, we’re probably very close to the official Spotify Wrapped release date now.

Spotify Wrapped is the annual compilation of your listening habits on the app over the past year.

It reveals your likes and your likes—then wraps it up in a neat, shareable form.

The fact that the results can be shared means it’s an exciting time on social media with music fans posting their top 5 line-ups.

Spotify doesn’t announce the release date in advance, but it’s easy to guess.

It’s impossible to say exactly when Spotify Wrapped will be out.

But we can make an educated guess based on previous years.

Spotify follows a very clear trend year after year.

Here’s the Spotify Wrapped release date history…

• 2021 – Wednesday 1st December
• 2020 – Wednesday 2nd December
• 2019 – Thursday 5 December
• 2018 – Thursday 6th December
• 2017 – Wednesday 6th December

The trend here is clear: you’re looking at the first Wednesday or Thursday in December.

Based on the last five years (and the previous two Wrapped releases), Wednesday seems to be the most popular day.

That would classify this year’s Spotify Wrapped as a release Wednesday December 7th.

However, this would also be the latest Spotify Wrapped we’ve seen.

So it’s also possible that Spotify could call instead Thursday December 1st.

Spotify recently released their Spotify Festival picks, which may mean the app needs some breathing room before the Wrapped.

That could mean the December 7 release is more likely.
