SS Alcides Escobar agrees to stay with Washington Nationals on 1-year deal

WASHINGTON — Shortstop Alcides Escobar agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract Tuesday to stick with the Washington Nationals subsequent season.

Escobar, who will flip 35 in December, batted .288 with 21 doubles, two triples, 4 homers and 28 RBIs in 75 video games with the Nationals after signing with the membership in July.
