Stacey Solomon shared how she used cheap wallpaper to create a faux wood effect on one of her walls.
Loose Women’s panelist is a DIY queen, and uses her Instagram Story to share all the tips and tricks she uses to create her dream home.
On Wednesday, the star took on a new project and shared how she created a faux wood effect on the wall using £7 wallpaper.
“Finally got in here and I’ll try to put the wall up later!” she captioned a clip of herself scrolling the wallpaper.
“I found this panel wallpaper on @dunelmuk site, it’s on sale for £7, I feel great and the colors are perfect here so hopefully I can really take this off. I almost never have wallpapers.”
The wallpaper is a dusty green and looks vibrant as she sets out to transform the room.

She went on to explain the steps of wall laying.
“Cut length. Evenly, spread gourd. Fold gently at both ends. Leave for a few minutes and hang. Leave a little lip on top and paint on both sides. Then, slowly apply (I used it). Use a clean paint roller.) Trim edges with blade. Cut corners and fold around, (some of my cuts are questionable),” she wrote.
Stacey then shared a clip of a wall she was planning to plaster with a bargain wallpaper.
“I only made a few long stretches because the sunlight was starting to dim,” she wrote. “And I’ll be honest, looking so close it makes my eyes laugh when I try to put them together.”
The presenter added: “I love it. I thought I’d put some coating on top as the ceiling is a bit dated, but I really like it, especially for £7!
“I’ll finish it tomorrow and see how it all goes”
