Star Wars Returns to Fortnite: Lightsabers and More Available for 2 Weeks

Fortnite is returning to a galaxy far, far away for its now annual Star Wars event.
Kicking off the Star Wars Day celebrations on May 4th, Fortnite will be adding usable Lightsabers to the game, with previously available Star Wars items being removed from the Vault from May 3rd to May 17th, 2022.
Additionally, you’ll be able to purchase any non-Battle Pass Star Wars outfit once it returns to the shop.
Also returning to the island is the legendary E-11 blaster, used by Stormtroopers throughout the original Star Wars trilogy. To get your hands on the blaster, keep an eye out for stormtroopers who have set up checkpoints across the island in search of Obi-Wan. They also appear randomly in chests.
There’s also new Stormtrooper training in the form of some new Star Wars quests. Active until May 17 at 12:00 PM ET, confiscate a “Landspeeder”, try out Jedi contraband (a lightsaber) and more. Each quest awards a set of XP and completing 5 of them will give you the new Empire Banner.
This year’s Lightsabers include:
- Luke Skywalker (Green)
- Kylo Ren (red)
- Mace Windu (purple)
- Obi Wan (Blue)
If you’re a Star Wars fan who’s missed out on all the cool outfits over the past few years – fret not. All non-Battle Pass Star Wars outfits are going back to the shop. This includes:
- Imperial Stormtrooper
- Kylo Ren
- Zorii luck
- Finn
- Rey
- Sith Soldier
- Bob Fett
- Fennec Shand
- Krrsantan
That’s right – there’s a selection of cool Star Wars outfits from across Star Wars history – including the recent sequel trilogy and even The Book of Boba Fett.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get your hands on the Mandalorian’s cute Beskar armor… however, if you managed to get it during the Chapter 2: Season 5 Battle Pass, now would be a great time to show it off.
