Star Wars: Every Jedi and Every Sith Ever

What is Sith Inquisitorius?

The Sith Inquisitorius (also known as The Order of the Inquisitors and Imperial Inquisition) is an organization founded by Emperor Palpatine shortly after the end of the Clone Wars. Answering only to Palpatine and Darth Vader, these Dark factions are tasked with hunting down and killing any Jedi that survives the destruction of Order 66. They are also tasked with locating the children. sensitive to force and place them in the custody of the Royal Family.

The function of the Inquistorius is twofold. They eliminate any potential Jedi threat to Palpatine’s reign, and they ensure that any potential new Jedi are brought under Imperial control or killed. Through his Inquistors, Palpatine ensures that the Jedi can never regain their old powers.

Through his Inquistors, Palpatine ensures that the Jedi can never regain their old powers.

Who is the investigator?

The Inquisitors are all Force-sensitive beings, many of whom served in the Jedi Order before defecting to the Empire or being tortured and brainwashed into serving the Dark Side. For example, the Grand Inquisitor was a Jedi temple guardian who was willing to betray the Order out of his desire to gain unchecked access to the Jedi Repository. Sister Two, the main antagonist of Jedi: Fallen Order, is eventually revealed to be the former Jedi Padawan Trilla Suduri. The others were discovered as children and subjected to the same mental corrections that Palpatine would later use on First Order soldiers.

After being inducted into Inquisitorius, the members left behind their old identities and adopted names like Second Sister and Fifth Brother. There is very little individuality in Inquisitorius – only the desire to continually surpass his opponents and rise above the ranks. The Grand Inquisitor is the highest ranking member of the organization, second only to Darth Vader.

It is not known exactly how many members the Inquisitorius has, although it seems there were about a dozen Inquisitors at any given time. This uncertainty is probably due to the design of the Star Wars creators. While Vader’s ultimate fate has been written down in stone, the Inquisitors are essentially a blank slate that can be used to anchor new stories set between Volumes III and IV.

The Sith Inquisitors: Strength and Abilities

The Inquisitors may not be true Sith Lords (Palpatine is still a believer in Darth Bane’s Rule of Two), but they all have a knack for using the Dark Side of the Force. The Inquisitors are trained by Darth Vader in lightsaber combat. Vader’s preferred educational tool was cutting off the limbs of his minions, which both taught the Inquisitors about the power of loss and enabled the former Jedi among them to abandon the defensive fighting style. that they have used before.

All Inquisitors wear the same black armor and helmets and use their own spotlights. Most of these swords have a two-bladed design with a disc-shaped hilt. That hilt had a handy extra feature – it could spin the blades so quickly that they allowed the Inquisitors to glide through the air.

Despite this brutal training regime, the Inquisitors end up quite low on the Dark Side’s power scale. Despite their skill in hunting down runaway Jedi, they don’t usually beat them so well in one-on-one combat with veteran Jedi Knights. However, that lack of power is a feature, not a bug. Palpatine is always paranoid, always wary of being betrayed by his subordinates. Inquisitors are designed to take on a specific role, but have not grown strong enough to pose a serious threat to their owners.

The Strangest Lights in the Star Wars Universe

The Inquistorius: The Story So Far

The Sith Inquisitorius first appeared in Star Wars Rebels, although it is unclear that there is more than one Inquisitorius. The show’s first season focuses solely on the Grand Inquisitor (voiced by Jason Isaacs) himself, who is tasked by Darth Vader to destroy the Rebel insurgency burgeoning in Lothal. The Grand Inquisitor dies in battle with Kanan Jarrus at the end of Season 1, preferring to give up his life rather than return to his master in disgrace.

Season 2 introduces the remaining Inquisitors, all eager to avenge the death of their leader and claim their place. However, many of the Inquisitors were killed in the Season 2 finale, a loss that seems to have marked the end of Palpatine and Vader’s trial. The final two seasons of Rebels shifted focus from the Inquisitors to the Grand Admiral Thrawn as the Empire’s primary threat, and the fate of any surviving Inquisitors was never revealed.
