Ben Whishaw, Jonathan Pryce and Juliet Stevenson have been announced as part of the lineup for a music and poetry night to raise money for Ukraine.
Ukrainian Lava will be held at the Southbank Center in London on 22 March, with funds raised for the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) call to provide aid to runners. escaped from Ukraine.
The specially curated night will include Ukrainian and British artists, including Kyiv-born baritone and Royal Opera House lead artist Yuriy Yurchuk and pianist Dinara Klinton.
Bafta Whishaw Award-winning actor, Tony Pryce Award-winning actor and award-winning actress Olivier Stevenson will all read from Ukrainian poets including Ilya Kaminsky, best known for her Dancing In Odessa collection.
A host of other Ukrainian artists and writers will perform the night, including Death And The Penguin author Andrey Kurkov and a special performance from the London Contemporary Orchestra.
The event was organized in partnership with the Ukraine Institute in London and supported by the British Council.
