Steven Knight’s SAS Rogue Heroes will return for a second series on BBC

SAS Rogue Heroes will return for the second series, it has been confirmed.

The six-part television series by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, about the creation of the world’s most famous and ruthless Special Forces unit, has been “a huge hit with audiences. as well as critics,” the BBC said.

It stars Connor Swindalls from Sex Education, Jack O’Connell from Skins and Alfie Allen from Game Of Thrones, and also stars Dominic West, who played then-Prince Charles in The Crown.

The introduction was announced at the end of Sunday’s episode, when the caption was read as continuing as the screen froze on O’Connells character Paddy Mayne, who is currently in charge of the Rogue Heroes, before the credits application started rolling out.

Adapted from the best-selling book by Ben Macintyre, the series provides a dramatic story of how SAS was founded during World War II, after being granted access to secret SAS archives .

The BBC says the second series will show viewers what comes next for SAS, following the dramatic turn of events in the final episode of series one, with further details still to come. .

Author, screenwriter and executive producer Knight said: “After the huge success of Rogue Heroes, I’m excited to embark on the next chapter of the story. Series two will bring SAS into continental Europe and will bring our heroes to the limit of their stamina.”

The BBC says filming will take place in 2023.
