Stewart Cink celebrated a hole-in-one the master by saying “Happy Birthday” to his son and Caddy Reagan.

Cink was part of the furniture on the PGA Tour in the last 25 years, but has only one major title and seven others to his name. The 48-year-old will not be fighting for a green jacket this weekend in Augusta but is likely to have provided the best moment of the tournament on Friday.

The gentle bounce was aided by the ball’s spin, and both Cink and the crowd watched as it slowly crawled toward the flag. As it fell, those onlookers let out a huge roar and the beaming 48-year-old punched the air with delight.

The moment was even more special for him as he got to share it with his son and Caddy Reagan. After watching the ball drop into the cup, the boy turned around, dropped the golf bag he was carrying, and gave his father a big smile and a hug.

The golfer was seen saying “happy birthday” to his son before they hugged, while Cink also received congratulations from fellow contestants Harry Higgs and Brian Harman.

He absorbed the crowd’s admiration as he went down the hole to retrieve his ball and wait while the others in his group finished the hole.

Unfortunately, the hole-in-one wasn’t enough to extend his tournament into the weekend. He needed another birdie off one of the last two holes, but suffered a bogey on the 17th, leaving him too busy to avoid the cut.
