After 6 years and two updates, Capcom has finally moved on from Street Fighter 5 and has officially announced 6 . street fighter.
As revealed via a countdown website, Capcom has officially announced Street Fighter 6 following the conclusion of the Capcom Pro Tour fighting game exhibition. The countdown was supposed to end at 9pm PST but remains locked until the end of the stream.
Capcom says more information about Street Fighter 6 coming out this summer.
The short teaser revealed a stronger Ryu as he faced Luke, the 45th and final character of Street Fighter 5, who was supposed to join the sequel. The announcement for Street Fighter 6 also coincides with the franchise’s 35th anniversary.
Capcom also announced the Capcom Fighting Collection, a collection of 10 classic titles including the full Darkstalkers series. Capcom Fighting Collection will be released on June 24, 2022, for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Xbox One.

The next game in Capcom’s marquis fighting game series will follow up on one of the most chaotic entries in the Street Fighter series. Initial feedback for Street Fighter 5 has been cookedalthough subsequent updates such as Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition and Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition have been better received.
Developed on Street Fighter 6 has been partially leaked in Capcom’s massive data breach along with other games like Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Street Fighter 6 will be developed with the participation of longtime Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono, who left Capcom last year After nearly 30 years with the company.
