The BBC teased the celebrity lineup ahead of its 20th series last month and it’s been an agonizing wait for the return of its trademark glitz and glamour.
The popular launch show, which brings together Strictly pros and edgy celebs, has been postponed due to the sad news of the Queen’s death.
The pre-taped launch show will be broadcast on BBC One on Friday 23 September at 7pm.
The first live program follows on Saturday at 6.45 p.m. on the same channel.
Viewers can also watch all episodes after they have aired on BBC iPlayer.

The BBC says the accompanying show “delves behind the scenes at Strictly Come Dancing” and includes “all the backstage gossip, gym tidbits and the latest Strictly news”.
Fans can also expect “exclusive interviews with the contestants, professional dancers, judges and behind-the-scenes team, expert analysis and celebrity guest panels,” the broadcaster has confirmed.

Who is Presenting Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on TV?
Former strictly professional Janette Manara and TV presenter Rylan Clark will return to present this year’s It Takes Two.
Rylan has hosted the popular program since 2019, and Janette has joined in 2021 after hanging up her Strictly dancing shoes.
Rylan told the BBC: “I’m so excited to be back on Strictly – It Takes Two in my fourth year. I love being part of the show. I’m so thrilled to have my TV wife Janette with me, and we can’t wait to bring you all the backstage gossip from this year’s Strictly extravaganza. We can hardly wait for the start.”
Janette added, “So excited to be hosting It Takes Two again alongside the amazing Rylan! I’m really looking forward to sharing with the audience more great conversations with our couples, loads of fun weekday TV entertainment and of course my favorite show on TV, Strictly!”
Claudia Winkleman and Zoe Ball have both presented the series.

Who are the judges for Strictly Come Dancing 2022?
The jury will also experience a shock this year when fan favorite Anton Du Beke takes up his judge’s paddle again.
Du Beke officially takes over for the eccentric 66-year-old Italian dancer and choreographer Bruno Tonioli.
The panel for Strictly’s 20th series will feature professional dancer Anton Du Beke, as well as returning favorites Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.
Viewers will recall that Du Beke sat on the jury last year when Tonioli, who judges American series Dancing With The Stars, was unable to attend due to uncertain Covid travel restrictions.
In 2020, Du Beke also completed a two-week stint on the jury.
Of his new role, the 55-year-old dancer said: “Woohooo! This is BRILLIANT news.
“Everyone knows how much I absolutely love the show and I’m really excited to continue serving as a regular judge. And I get to reach the final again – now I know how Giovanni feels!”
