Strictly Come Dancing week 9 results: BBC fans disappointed by spoilers

Strictly speaking, fans were devastated when a spoiler “leaked” the results Blackpool special.

Last night’s show treated viewers to all the glitz and glamor we’ve come to expect from Strictly as it celebrated its much-anticipated return to the icon Blackpool Tower ballroom after two years.

The results will show on Sunday evening will be recorded after the live show on Saturday right after the end of voting.

The show’s 20th series has seen leaks from the show’s live audience, where the results, which saw two couples face off in the dreaded dance-off, leaked ahead of the episode’s airing.

Week 9 results are strictly spoiler free as the fan favorite leaves the Blackpool show

Newsquest will not release the details of which two celebrities found themselves in the bottom two, as these results have not been verified and in order not to spoil the program.

Understandably, some fans couldn’t stand the wait and have shared their thoughts on the result on social media.

One viewer posted on Twitter: “Eviscerated with the #StrictlySpoiler this week!

A second person chimed in: “No way that unfair.”

A third user commented: “No way. No no no no! I do not have it.”

Meanwhile, a fourth fan wrote: “They were my bottom two and I think the right person got eliminated!”

In recent weeks, fans on social media have been urging the BBC to change the format of the results show to avoid future spoilers.

The Saturday and Sunday shows were filmed separately until 2008 because the late Bruce Forsyth was struggling to host two nights in a row.

The live studio audience, which includes family, friends, as well as attendees and the general public, will have their phones taken during filming

The social media spoilers are putting pressure on the BBC dance competition to film the shows separately each night to prevent further leaks.

When is the Strictly Results Show?

The Strictly Results Show follows on Sunday evening the day after tomorrow.

It will be broadcast live from 7.20pm and will run in front of Top Gear until 8pm.

Two couples will also find themselves in the dance-off as the two battle to make it to next week’s show.
