ONEPPLE fans got a preview of what the tech giant’s long-rumored virtual reality headset might look like.
Discussion is heating up that the top secret project may finally be announced at some point later this year.
It is expected to have a mix of virtual reality (take you into the virtual world) and augmented reality (overlaying computer images onto the real world).
More than 12 cameras are built-in, to track hand movements and display AR images to the user.
They are designed using previous product renders and details leaked from reports.
The group’s previous predictions were not too far from reality, such as simulation of PS5 before it was published.
The mock design of Apple’s VR headset shows a thin, curved visor that can be placed over a person’s face with an adjustable blue headband.
The headbands are thought to be interchangeable, in a similar way to the Apple Watch bands.
A button can be seen on the top and on the side of the earphones, although their exact function is still unknown.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously suggested that the wearable could come with a total of 15 cameras.
Eight of them will be there to project images onto the real world for augmented reality, while the other six are said to be for biometrics, along with a separate lens for environment detection.
A cooling element to prevent users from overheating when using the headphones, as well as a built-in battery so people don’t get tangled up in wires, are also rumored to appear.

Google Glass has been around for years, while Facebook has been widely praised for its Oculus Quest 2 headphone.
Microsoft has also ramped up production of its HoloLens augmented reality glasses, targeting businesses rather than consumers.
Sony just unveiled the PSVR 2 headset for its PS5, and HTC offers the powerful Vive suite.
As always with Apple, the tech giant has yet to give away anything, so we’ll have to keep a close eye to see if that becomes a reality later this year.
