STV Children’s Appeal raised over £3.1 million for charities

Children living in poverty in Scotland will benefit from more than £3.1 million in funding from the STV Children’s Appeal.

Famous faces took part in the fundraiser, including Ewan McGregor, who surprised nine-year-old Star Wars fan Callum Martin.

Mr McGregor appeared onscreen during a phone fundraiser on Friday to send a personalized message to the boy, who said he had been struggling to make friends due to his depressive disorder. attention (ADHD) and autism.

Line of Duty actor Martin Compston made an appearance as he visited the Street Soccer club in his hometown of Greenock, Inverclyde, to play football and learn more about how the charity supports young people through opportunities training and developing.
