The UK LGBT Awards have delivered some of the big showbiz moments over the years – from an emotional Philip Schofield in tears last year accepting the award, to comedian John Bishop using his acceptance speech to pay tribute to his gay son.

TV presenter and comedian Sue Perkins will become the latest celebrity to host the 2022 British LGBT Awards later this month.
The former Bake Off host, 52, will follow in the footsteps of big names like Mel B, Alan Carr and Kelly Osbourne in hosting a star fight on June 24.
Celebrities and organizations with a track record of promoting LGBT+ rights will be honored at the glitzy showbiz event, with nominations including global icons Lady Gaga, Rylan, Steps, Olly Alexander and Jurgen Klopp.
Doctor Who actress Jodie Whittaker, Formula One star Lewis Hamilton, Harry Potter legend Daniel Radcliffe and former Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall will also win one of the coveted awards.
Speaking before hosting the red carpet splendor, presenter Sue said: “I am delighted to host the 2022 British LGBT Awards.
“This is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the LGBT+ community and I’m excited to be a part of it. It’s always been a great event, shining a spotlight on role models and advocates for the rights of the LGBT+ community. LGBT+ people in the UK and around the world.
She added: “The event always attracts the biggest names, and this year will be no exception. I’m honored to be a part of it. It will be a blast!”
Billy Porter, Michaela Jae Rodriguez and Indya Moore are all in the running for Celebrity of the Year alongside The Crown star Emma Corrin, while Grammy and BRIT-winning artist Dua Lipa, singer-songwriter Non-binary artist Sam Smith, British rapper Lady Lehurr and pop icons Steps will compete for MTV-sponsored Musical Artist of the Year.

As the Scouse star clinched his trophy for Ally of the Year, the father-of-three discussed life with his wife Melanie and sons Joe, Luke and Daniel.
“I am very pleased to be nominated,” he said.
“I bring my whole family, wife and three sons whom I love dearly and I am so proud of.
“Like all parents, we have problems with them.
“One of my sons has a tattoo on his ankle that means Africa but looks like Australia, one of my sons mumbles and one of my sons is a homosexual. masculinity.
“Honestly, there have been countless nights where my wife and I have been restless, worried and worried.
