THE blockbuster movie is just as much a part of summer as soleros, a farmer’s tan and your father barbecuing in the rain. Since Jaws swam into theaters in June 1975 and petrified a generation, summer has been considered the perfect time to release a blockbuster, having previously been a bit of a flop season because, you know, he was sitting in a dark room during the best weather of the year. (This is ideal for me – air conditioning and no need for sunglasses? Joy!).

The summer blockbuster trend has given us Rocky, war of stars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, extraterrestrial, Back to the Future and Spiderman, or a list of your favorite movies.
