DEBORAH James is in the hospital after an infectious infection left her with a terrifying 40-degree fever.
The Sun columnist, who has incurable bowel cancer, explained that she became “really unwell” on Tuesday and has been in the Royal Marsden Hospital ever since.
Although she admits this is “not my idea of a good weekend”, the brave mother-of-two still manages to be a pillar of strength.
The 40-year-old shared snaps with his mother Heather by her bedside while detailing how she ended up as an inpatient.
Deborah wrote in an Instagram post: “To cut a very long story short! An infection we tried to prevent with IV antibiotics – but it didn’t work!
“And on Tuesday, I was infected with 40 degrees fever and really unwell. But the @royalmarsden team here is unbelievable.
“Since then, we found out I have several sources of infection. So yesterday I had to pull the gate out! Gutted!
“5 years this baby has served me well – but right now I need it to prevent infection – I’m really sad! Maybe another baby soon!”
The brave columnist even jokingly added James Blunt’s hit song, Goodbye My Lover, to her story upload.
Deborah continued: “We also discovered that my main source of infection was in my liver which we already knew – IV antibiotics had created an abscess – so it was drained for a few days to help cure it. heal it faster!

“But almost immediately my infection improved.”
She said she was currently “resting and recuperating” while assuring her followers that she was “strangely fine” as her medication worked.
Deborah excitedly discussed how her beloved daughter Eloise would also visit her, which she described as “wonderful”.
“I’ll relax, prob [sic] buy too many things online, watch a lot of movies and always smile,” she added.
This is not the first time she has a race against sinister sepsislike Deborah was attacked by it several times last year.

The 40-year-old, known as BowelBabe on Instagram, was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in 2016. at the age of 35.
But she continued defying the odds by live at least five years after her diagnosis, which she could never have dreamed of.
Doctors said that because her cancer mutated so strongly, most people like her “only live about 7 months, 2 and a half years at best”.
Deborah has shared every step of her arduous journey with her legion of followers and in her column The Sun, Things Cancer Made Me Say.
Recently, she talked about how bad guys accused her of “having sexual cancer, for pouting too much and behaving like a teenager.”
But the inspirational mother reacted, saying, “I don’t make excuses for who I am. I wear mini skirts, I dance and pout and pose. And I love that. I’ve done shoots. nude and will do it again”.


“I firmly believe that we should all have the freedom to choose what’s right for us. And we shouldn’t be judged by other people’s standards.
“I haven’t spent the past five years desperately trying to live to old age to be told how I should behave, if I am qualified to do so.”
