Amy Schumer may have ended up in Michael Cera’s bad books after blurting out the surprising news that he’s a father.
The 40-year-old actress and the 33-year-old Canadian actor co-star in the upcoming Hulu comedy series Life & Beth and have been through the promotion process together.
Michael, who has appeared in a number of comedy films over the years including Superbad, Juno and was also a main character on the comedy show Arrested Development, is notoriously private when it comes to his personal life.
He secretly married longtime girlfriend Nadine in 2018 and it now appears the two have had a child together – although it’s not exactly clear when the bundle of joy arrived.

Mom-of-one Amy spilled the beans while she and Michael were being interviewed about their new show by entertainment tonight.
The comedy star was quizzed about her maternity journey when she blurted out: “Michael has a baby too. Is this public knowledge? … I just outed him, I just outed his baby.”
Michael then offered a rare comment about his personal life as he admitted he enjoyed confronting parenthood.
He said: “We are still at the very beginning. We’re doing the basics right now.”
Amy is the proud mother of two-year-old son Gene, whom she welcomed with her 41-year-old husband, chef Chris Fischer, in May 2019.
The actress opened up about her IVF battle to have a second child during a recent chat with podcast host and comedian Chelsea Handler.
She explained: “I did IVF, we did embryos and I went through the IVF process, which is so difficult.
“People do it so often. I did it once and thought, ‘I’m going to die. That’s awful.”
“I got about 31 eggs and I thought I’m Fertile Myrtle. I was very hot. And then the waste after fertilization, we just got a normal embryo and we tried and it didn’t work… and now I don’t have a uterus.”
The star previously had her uterus and appendix removed last year to treat her endometriosis.
Amy went on to say that she enjoys mothering her young son.
She said we tried but yes we will only have the one perfect little adorable angel.

“I’m happy about it, but I was sad. And it’s not really something you get sympathy for because it’s like you already have some crap, shut up. But you know, this is a real struggle that people go through.”
Amy had previously opened up about her brutal IVF journey, sharing candid photos of her injured stomach where she’d injected herself with hormones as part of the treatment – and won applause from fans for her openness about her attempted pregnancy.
