Supercomputers have so far predicted Albion’s Premier League placement

According to a supercomputer, ALBION has a 2% chance of winning the Premier League and a 20% chance of reaching the Champions League.

Graham Potter’s side have started the Premier League season in fantastic form, beating Manchester United 2-1, drawing Newcastle 0-0 and beating West Ham 2-0 away on Sunday.

FiveThirtyEight, a statistics website, predicts that Brighton have a 2% chance of winning the championship… and a 2% chance of being relegated.

The algorithm uses data from the team’s past season as well as numbers from its market value.

A team’s ratings are adjusted after each game based on their performance in each game.

While it’s still far too early for Albion to go on a European tour next season, the algorithm gives the Seagulls a 22 percent chance of making the Champions League as of the current standings.

It predicts Brighton have more chances of qualifying for the Champions League than Manchester United.

Based on league to date, in the computer’s average simulated season, Brighton have 59 points with a goal difference of +8.

That would be eight points better than Brighton’s highest-ever ninth-place finish with 51 points last season.

59 points would have been enough for sixth place last season, which would have promoted a team to the Europa League.

Fingers crossed!
